Example: Above is a picture (thermogram) of the ceiling in a typical home that supposedly HAS
attic insulation. It does, I checked. It is just not very well installed and there are areas that were missed because they were a bit hard to get to. The difference is obvious with an Infrared Scan! There is a 10 degree difference of the ceiling temperature between the properly insulated areas and the poorly insulated areas. The light areas are measuring at 98+ degrees. All the while the A/C thermostat is set for 75 degrees. I wonder why it cannot keep up?
